Elderly people that play ping pong on horseback

I'm still doing the stats experiment. "In love with a hosre that plays ping pong" has done nicely in the ratings, and since "beware of elderly people" also appears to be a favourite, I thought I'd let the elderly people have a game too. Why not?

Of course, I should be working on my nice new plot, which has Agent's enthusiastic approval (I suspect partly to get me off her back. I know I'm a nightmare client). But I will get down to that later. I will, I will...

And Aliya, (if you're there), get back to your vegetables and leave my ideas alone. Heaven knows, I don't have that many.

  1. You steal my ping pong and then tell me off for stealing your (hobby) horse. *sulk*

But - a new plot! How exciting! Yippee!

  2. Frances How many times must I remind you, you're a writer and must write to be one... Please could you get on with your plotting instead of Ping Ponging!

  3. Yes. That did occur to me afterwards. Sorry. You can have my elderly people as a peace offering.

Not sure about the plot. Right out of my comfort zone, so rather daunting. But thanks for the yippee. I need a lot of those!

  4. Jarmara - yes, ma'am. Will do. (Last comment addressed to Aliya, of course.)

  5. Ping pong polo for the seasoned citizen. I like it.

Throw in a chance of a randomly explosive ping pong ball, and you have a story.

  6. I'm glad to hear there's a new plot coming as those elderly pinp pong playing horses were making it look just a teensy bit as though you'd lost the last one.

  7. Having a fun summer I see. Elderly people in any sort of vigorous exercise gives me hope for the future.

  8. Welcome back, Nevets!

Patsy, how rude! I thought you were on my side.

Yvonne, your future is my present. I have to find my fun where I can (but sadly, I can't play ping pong. The ping pong is all Aliya's fault).

  9. On your side, Frances? Well of course I will be - until now I hadn't realised this ping pong thing was a team sport. How big a horse do I need?

  10. Can't play ping pong?

Story in there, too. The woman who is the only one left out of the assisted living facility's ping pong tournament because she's afraid that if she plays it, some mysterious force will take her life.

Add in an exploding ping pong ball, and you have a story...

  11. Only partly...

Is that a dare to write the story? ;)

  13. Nevets has written a brilliant story (visit his blog), but he cheated and left out the horses, so he doesn't get a prize.

  14. Thanks, Frances! :)

Yeah, for some reason when I started righting the horses went out of my mind. I shall answer the dare a second time, though I'll let it sit for a few days so I don't OD my blog readers on old people playing ping pong...

  15. But first, you'd better brush up your spelling, Nevets. "Righting", indeed! Ts ts.
