Keeping people alive at all costs seems to be the thing nowadays, although it's extremely costly (quite apart from humanitarian considerations).

Colette, thanks. From what I know about radiotherapy (which is way more than I ever wanted to know) it would be too much for your uncle. It takes its toll on even the healthiest of bodies. Good for you for speaking up for him and what is best for him. Sadly I suspect it has something to do with Govt guidelines. When a person is diagnosed with cancer the Govt says that they have to be treated within a certain time or the hospital is fined. Good luck to you all.Colette McCormickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00383068332228040704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3132582821010486689.post-73808486546334712982011-10-07T18:59:05.294+01:002011-10-07T18:59:05.294+01:00Thanks, Anna. Thanks, Anna.Frances Garroodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10614916006798375706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3132582821010486689.post-5626590032349614552011-10-07T18:33:30.238+01:002011-10-07T18:33:30.238+01:00Thinking of you and your uncle Frances.
