LOST

"Turn around when possible,"
Our trusty satnav said.
We'd wanted Skye, but couldn't turn,
So ended up in Bed-
fordshire. Oh dear! Next time I think we'll
Use a map instead.

(With thanks to Tess at Magpie Tales for the picture)

  5. Satnav? What's a satnav? :-( Give me a good old fashioned map any day!

  7. Good job it wasn't an Italian map. They don't appear to have an Ordnance Survey and the results can sometimes be curious to say the least.

  10. Your take on this prompt reminds me of the days before Christmas in Madrid a few years ago. We were stuck in heavy traffic, and the GPS system kept saying "When possible, make a legal U-turn"! We finally parked the rental car in an underground parkade, took our luggage up to street level, and hailed a cab to take us the few blocks to our hotel, which we had been unable to reach.
