I don't think this deserves to appear in the MNW blog, but I simply had to report this as a follow-up to my post on writing about sex. How about this (from the same writer as the one I quoted before?): "he nibbled his way up her torso, until he reached her mouth." Don't you just love it?

There's something about the word torso - it sounds somehow dead and limbless. But obviously 'body' wouldn't do...ReplyDelete

There is no romantic term for it, is there, but then that goes for a variety of other body parts as well. I suppose 'breasts' is ok, but bottom? buttocks? rear? a**e? Not really. As for the male member, that's quite hopeless (though I rather like 'penith', as pronounced by my lisping grandson).ReplyDelete
