To me, a gigabyte sounds just
Like something that you eat.
A cookie is a biscuit, and
A ram, a kind of sheep.
And widgets? What the hell are those?
My mum served spam for tea.
Software's not really soft at all,
And what's an ISP?
Computer-speak is great for those
Who find these things amusing.
But as for me, I merely find it
Terribly confusing.

Me too!
ReplyDeleteGlad you agree, Jill.
DeleteYou need an updated CPU. They aren't expensive.
ReplyDeleteMy CPUs are all being cleaned at the moment. Then I shall paint them blue; my favourite colour.
DeleteOh I agree!
ReplyDeleteI knew you would, Maggie.
DeleteBrilliant Frances. You speak for all of us!
ReplyDeleteIf I spoke for everyone, Cro, there'd be no one to fix things when they go wrong....
DeleteI preferred it when computers were bigger and I could imagine tiny creatures in there doing all the calculations and stuff. Now it's just some weird, very flat, magic. Not entirely sure I trust it.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the tiny creatures are still there, Patsy. It's just that they are now even tinier, with silly names.
Delete:). :)
ReplyDeleteYou've summed it up very well, Frances - though I like some of the technology!
ReplyDeleteI like to use it, Rosemary. I just wish all the different bits had sensible names.
Delete:-( (Just to be different).
