I don't fancy Hillary Clinton,
And I don't have much time for D. Trump.
But I do wonder whether
They might work together,
And combine both their names into Clump?
I find the whole thing scary. Whoever gets in I can see trouble ahead because I can't see T taking defeat lying down and if he gets in - well it doesn't bear thinking about. I do think your limerick should win the competition though. Pity you missed it!
I was shocked by the result of the Brexit referendum, never thought it would happen. Now I am, sadly, not surprised by the outcome of the presidential election. Just speechless.
What a year 2016 has turned out to be! First Brexit, then the Chicago Cubs win the World Series for the first time in 108 years, and now this. Who woulda thunk? I think it proves that all things are possible. Well, not all things. I will never be the Duchess of Cambridge, for example.
I live with my husband in Devizes in Wiltshire where I spend my time writing, reading, riding (I am the lucky owner of a beautiful horse, Blue), and keeping up with my four children and an increasing number of small grandchildren (eight so far). I was for many years a nurse and a Relate counsellor. I have taught creative writing both at a local college and a prison, and I review a wide variety of items - including books - for the Amazon Vine programme.I write to death row prisoners in America, being a life-long opponent jof the death penalty. And I spend too much time blogging..

Makes me wonder how bad the other candidates are if these two are the best.
ReplyDeleteI know. Weird, isn't it?
DeleteIt sure would be nice if there could be a little "working together" for the common good. The common good, how seldom do we hear that phrase.
ReplyDeleteYes. That's true, Yvonne.

ReplyDeleteWell, we know now, Gail. Let's just hope he mellows a bit!

ReplyDeleteTrump could do to be speechless for a bit....
DeleteUncertain times!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the Chinese curse: "may you live in interesting times". Hm.

ReplyDeleteWell you wouldn't want to be a Duchess, would you? Thought not!
DeleteI have wondered many things (and still do) but I have to admit THAT particular question never once during this campaign entered my mind...
ReplyDeleteGood idea, though, wasn't it? Pity nobody asked my advice....
DeleteInteresting to note that the Canadian website for immigration information crashed with the news.
ReplyDeleteWow! But I suppose that was inevitable.
DeleteWonderful! Thanks for making me smile, Frances.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Wendy. Good to be of some use!
DeleteI've stopped worrying about world affairs but you did make me smile, Frances!
ReplyDeleteHow wise you are, Rosemary. I think I'll join you (although I can't believe DT will be as bad in office as he was during the campaign).
