Magpie 246
An empty petrol tank is hell.
An empty battery as well.
But for this driver, perfect bliss
Is an empty motorway, like this.
When I vist my daughter, I use the M3, and I rejoice as I spin past the junction that leads to the dreaded M25, revelling in the empty ribbon of road that lies ahead. (When I visit eldest son, it's payback time, as I have to use the M25.)
(With thanks to Tess at Magpie Tales for the picture.)

ReplyDeleteIt seems too long since we had a rhyme. Thanks and good luck.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy night-time driving. You can always see when there's a car coming, and the roads are clear. Just make sure you have that tank full!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments, everyone. Apologies for no individual replies. On sick leave...
ReplyDeleteLove it. Am reminded of M25 being one large, circle of a car park and that was 20 odd years ago!! Be better soon.
