In just fifteen years...

Last week-end, we celebrated the fifteenth birthday(s) of my first (triplet) grandchildren. How things (people) can change in such a short time! Many, many happy returns to my three special babies: M, P, and H. I owe you all so much. You introduced me to the wonderful hand-them-back joys of being a grandparent, disposable nappies,  the periodic table (M), how to do the splits (P), and sheer off-the-wallness (H). I love you all! xx

  1. And three lovely young people they are, your grandchildren!
Here's to the next 15 years, which undoubtedly will see many more changes, both for this world and for M, P and H.

  4. Doesn't time fly? They look like three happy and content teenagers. Although, I guess it must be like hormone city for their parents!

    1. It was exciting, wonderful, and totally exhausting for my poor daughter. I don't think she slept for about five years. Now, of course, she has to dig them out of bed.

  10. There's was no easing you in to grandmotherhood gently then?

    1. Not exactly, Patsy. But I got very good at feeding two babies and rocking the third with my foot all at the same time.

  11. It was a lovely post with your usual empathetic approach to life and people. For some curious reason it left me pondering on what would have happened if the births had taken place either side of midnight and they had different birthdays. Silly me.
