I'm off...
...to the Lake District tomorrow, with eldest son and two of his boys. It will rain (it always does) but we shall walk and pincic and dam streams and eat Cumberland sausage and chips. Back next week-end.
I hope anyone else who's off on their holidays has a good time, and not too much rain.

Have a wonderful time, Frances.
ReplyDeleteI love the Lake District. And I love it most when it rains there. I remember being very wet on a boat on Conniston and then drinking tea in the cafe afterwards with everyone's waterproofs steaming on the backs of their chairs. It was perfect. Grey, misty and English. That's my favourite kind of holiday.
Hope you have a wonderful time Frances - enjoy!

Have a great time. Enjoy those sausages.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time, Frances. One of my favourite areas but husband won't go now because of the rain (we get enough of our own!).
ReplyDeleteI'm with Joanna - it adds to the atmosphere!
Thanks, Joanna, Anna and Keith. Will report back on my return home!
ReplyDelete...and Rosemary! We must have posted at the same time. Your husband doesn't know what he's missing! (Maybe I'll be feeling a little differently in a week's time...)
ReplyDeleteHave fun. And you never know, it may not rain. Miracles do happen , you know!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great time - and that there's some sun.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time. At least with the Lake District you know it's likely to rain so you're prepared for it - and if it doesn't it's a nice surprise!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely holiday. The one time I went to the Lake Dictrict, it was foggy and I could barely see anything! (But of course you will have blazing sunshine every day!) x
ReplyDeleteWe had a weekend holiday with only a little rain. I hope your time is enjoyable!
