"Can we go for a walk?"
Said the man to the dog,
"I'm too busy. I can't.
I must clean up that wall -
Someone's written in chalk."
Said the dog (in a huff),
"Time you watered that plant!"
With thanks to Tess at Magpie Tales for the picture

I love your poem today, Frances. It's so realistic and funny. I live with such a dog. =D Thanks for sharing.ReplyDelete
Fun take..I like the conversation ~ReplyDelete
Frances . . looks to me as if the dog has been watering the plant! Yours fun as usual. I like laconic dogs that take the huff.ReplyDelete
lively and fun to read!ReplyDelete
First things first. Chalk on the wall seems less important to me, too, than the living things...:)ReplyDelete
Huffy dogs take the biscuit! LOLReplyDelete
The dog is the one who has his prioroties right.ReplyDelete
There is a lot of dialogue in this prompt:-)ReplyDelete
That was good. Brought on a much needed laugh!ReplyDelete
Thanks, everyone ( though not one of my best. Still pretty spaced out after my accident).ReplyDelete
