Fairfax stars on Womagwriter!

Kath at Womagwriter has very kindly allowed me to post about my story in this week's Woman's Weekly. To tempt any horsey readers (it's a horsey story), there's a really nice photo of Fairfax on it. Do pop over and have a look if you've got a moment.

Or you could even buy the magazine...?

  1. I think I'll pass on buying the magazine thanks Frances - on the grounds, of course, that I'm in New Zealand (although in reality I expect it's available here). However I have read your guest post. It helps me to understand....

    1. I didn't think the mag would be quite your bag, GB, but each to his/her own!

  2. Fairfax will soon have his own fan club. Will you help him answering his fan mail? I suppose it is not easy to type or hold a pen with hooves.

Your "story behind the story" was moving indeed, and you know I can relate only too well to your experience of being widowed in your forties.

    1. Fairfax isn't sure about blogging. I think he's still a bit threatened by the shadow of Titch. But give him time...

  3. Just been and left a comment, Frances. Lovely post. My mother was widowed in her forties too.

  4. I had a read over at Womags Blog and left a comment for you there. I'm off to buy WW to read your story now (I think mine may be in next week's as I've just had payment).

  6. I read this on Womagwriter, Frances. A lovely, and very moving, post. It's good to see Fairfax is settling in. I'm sure he will become as much of a character as his predecessor was!

  7. Thanks for the story behind the story and for getting to know a little bit more about you. Life doesn't seem very fair does it, when those who have a husband can't wait to get out of their relationship, and others who are happy have it taken from them. Life's a bum.

    1. But I have had two happy marriages, and that's more than many have had, Maggie.
