Rather tubed-up, but fine now. I saw him yesterday, and he's beautiful - really. Worth the wait, but I still feel drained (see last post for details, if you need to!). Off this week-end to help out.
Well I've only just caught up. Congratulations. I notice I'm the only male commenting so far. Probably because it's a baby. I was there at Gaz's birth. Not that I did much except supply gas and air and admire the doc's handiwork as he sewed up. Somehow other people's babies aren't quite as exciting. But then I'm a man.
Although I have never been one of those girls (or women) who coo over babies (I much prefer keeping my distance until they are old enough to run around with them), I love the chubbiness of babies and the little dimples they have on their hands, and the chubby folds on their tiny wrists and legs.
Aaaww. So cute. Have none of my own I'm afraid, but I there were a few friends' babies I saw when they were just a couple of days old. Always a miracle!
I live with my husband in Devizes in Wiltshire where I spend my time writing, reading, riding (I am the lucky owner of a beautiful horse, Blue), and keeping up with my four children and an increasing number of small grandchildren (eight so far). I was for many years a nurse and a Relate counsellor. I have taught creative writing both at a local college and a prison, and I review a wide variety of items - including books - for the Amazon Vine programme.I write to death row prisoners in America, being a life-long opponent jof the death penalty. And I spend too much time blogging..
