The dragonfly on the bathroom door
In a recent post I mentioned seeing faces in odd places. Well, this isn't exactly a face (I'm not sure whether these creatures have them), but this is an unadorned and un-tampered-with dragonfly in the grain of our bathroom door. And I seem to be the only person who's noticed.
Foxes on the floor next time.

Yep, that's definitely a dragonfly.
ReplyDeleteGlad you agree, Patsy.
DeleteI can certainly see it. But nobody else sees it when they're actually looking at the door? Maybe it's the angle? Most odd.
ReplyDeleteK
Nobody else LOOKS at the door, Kay!
DeleteThey must be men. They never see anything.
DeleteAn alarmingly large one too! :)
ReplyDeleteGood point, Jenny.
DeleteThis one's very clearly visible! And yes, they do have faces. Quite fierce, Alien-looking ones at that.
ReplyDeleteSoma faceless one is better. Good.
DeleteI believe it to be a version of our common blue damselfly. Frances.
ReplyDeleteIf you say so, Wendy!
DeleteCan anyone else see a partial face with someone screwing their eyes closed under heavy eyebrows? Or just me?
ReplyDeleteYes. But isn't the nose a bit long?
DeleteLove those wings!
ReplyDeleteAnd better than anything I could draw!
ReplyDeleteI saw a butterfly but at least I did see something.
ReplyDeleteThe tail is too long for a butterfly, GB. It has to be a dragonfly...doesn't it?
DeleteYour evidence convinces me Frances.
ReplyDeleteI knew you'd see sense, GB.
DeleteActually I see a face there... A woman squinching her eyes (and nose in the middle). But yes I can see the dragofly too :)
ReplyDeleteI agree about the face - up to a point - but what makes you think it's a woman?
ReplyDeleteJust first impression. Perhaps at the back of my head it reminded me of some painting I've seen even if I can't pin it down.
