Periodically over the past months, New Blogger had pounced and tried to make itself at home here. I'm ashamed to say I've had to get professional help each time to get it to go away.
But now, the threats are mounting. Apparently it's imminent, and there will be nothing we can do to avert it. How is anyone else dealing with this crisis, and has anyone managed to master it yet? I cannot for the life of me see what it has to offer in the way of improvement. Please prove me wrong!

I yielded to New Blogger several months ago - perhaps even last year (not certain)?
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your post Frances I visted 'Old Blogger Interface' and must say that New Blogger is superior...
Can't put a finger on quite why - maybe I am now a convert and have forgotten why I initially fought it...
Anna :o]
Anna, do you live anywhere near Devizes.....?
DeleteI gave in and changed to New Blogger some time ago and I do think it is superior to the Old. Once you click into 'Design' everything is laid out clearly and is easy to follow. Stick with it, Frances. It's definitely worth persevering with.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm. I'm still sticking with old one, but I'll do my best when the time comes, Gail...
DeleteI agree that it is often change for the sake of change. it was a pain at first, just because it was new, but now it doesn't bother me. I do like the fact that I can how many visitors to individual posts, other than that I don't think there are any astounding improvements.

I'll bear that in mind, Martine!
DeleteI really dreaded new Blogger, but it wasn't half as bad as I thought - and once you get used to it, not bad at all really. I can't even remember what the old one was like now x
ReplyDeleteI think I believe you, Teresa...
DeleteI second most of the above. Explore it a bit. Cleaner, faster and more intuitive. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI quite like new blogger but ever since I swapped over I have had these dreadful pop up ads at the side and can't get rid of them even though blogger asks for feedback and I have complained about it.
ReplyDeleteDo you get paid?
DeleteJust as long as we don't lose you to cyber space Frances!
ReplyDeleteIf I suddenly disappear, Maggie, you'll know why!
DeleteI think I've got the new version but I'm not entirely sure. I wish 'they' wouldn't keep messing with things.
ReplyDeleteHow can you not know, Patsy?
DeleteWell I don't remember changing over, but as I don't get prompts suggesting I do so, I think I may have already done it.
DeleteI thought you meant they were changing it again! As others have said, it's fine once you get used to it.
ReplyDeleteI have to take your word for it, Rosemary!
ReplyDeleteFrances I do believe that your dislike of things technological and computer based makes life unnecessarily hard for you. Fear of something is so often worse that the reality. As I've said before I changed over within weeks of new blogger arriving and would be very reluctant to have to go back. I do believe that if you stopped fearing it and embraced it you'd be quite happy.
ReplyDeleteYou're right of course, GB. But what's the cure?
DeleteMy other problem is that my PC will only show me half of the new interface....
