Anniversary

Aa year ago today, my beautiful horse, Titch, collapsed and died. I wrote this a week later. I've been thinking of him so much today. He was very, very special.

And I was so lucky to have him.

  2. I can well understand how you must feel. I'm not a pet person (not that horses are really pets) but I still feel a twinge when I think of the loss of Big Puss back in 2005 and he was only 'my' cat by accident.

  3. Is it a year already, Frances? I know you are still feeling the loss, because you and Titch had such a special relationship. I always loved reading your "conversations" with him.
My heartfelt thoughts are with you.

  4. More than 13 years have passed since Mimi, the cat I had raised from when she was 12 weeks old, died, and I still think of her very often.
An animal can leave a gap in our lives just as much as a person; maybe not on the same level, but definitely a gap.
Like Kay, I am amazed that it is a year already.

  7. You have all those lovely memories to cherish. Shed a few tears - it's allowed.

  8. Thanks, everyone. We all move on. But nearly every day I pass the patch of grass where he died, and someone else is in his stable. Good memories, though.

  10. It is difficult to believe that a year has passed already Frances as time flies away with itself.
Titch remains in you, etched into that very special place where loved ones reside as fond memories.
    Hugs.

  12. Thanks so much. You're all very kind. I do have Fairfax (Fairy) now, and he's lovely, but I guess everyone has a best-ever, and Titch was mine.
