Magpie 222

Our mother was open to censure,
For her tireless pursuit of adventure.
But sadly, her thrills
Involved cheap, dodgy pills,
And she died, when she choked on her denture.

    1. I think 'masterpiece' is overstating it a bit, but thank you anyway, Doc.

  5. Nice one! And how refreshing to read a limerick that actually follows the rules.

    1. CM, you obviously agree with me. I get so irritated when people write "limericks" and break all the rules. Maybe we're both pedants...?

    1. It's horrible. The trouble with Magpies is they're a challenge. Once you start, it's hard to stop. But I often resist.
