I don't know, Graham, that's the trouble with youtube. But thank you for being the only person to comment on this post (so far)! I think I shall have to return to being silly. But I love this piece. It's simplicity is sheer genius.
The interesting thing is that I assumed that I had the CD and went to get it to play it but didn't. So I shall listen to it streamed today and get the CD. A glaring omission in my collection. Thank you.
I don't know this piece of music, so couldn't really comment other than to say it's a very restful piece and I do love the piano. I didn't want to intrude on a post that I thought was personal between you and Daisy. You can go back to being silly now!
I live with my husband in Devizes in Wiltshire where I spend my time writing, reading, riding (I am the lucky owner of a beautiful horse, Blue), and keeping up with my four children and an increasing number of small grandchildren (eight so far). I was for many years a nurse and a Relate counsellor. I have taught creative writing both at a local college and a prison, and I review a wide variety of items - including books - for the Amazon Vine programme.I write to death row prisoners in America, being a life-long opponent jof the death penalty. And I spend too much time blogging..

Klara Wurtz is a beautiful pianist and the clarinetist is absolutely wonderful. I wonder who he/she is.

ReplyDeleteI shouldn't worry, Maggie. I played it to Daisy, and she didn't seem particularly impressed. I despair of (some of) my children.
