I want to choose my best side
As I'm going out tonight.
If I sit on his left side
He'll be looking at my right.
But if I settle opposite
(And if the lights are dim)
I can sit back and enjoy my meal
And leave the choice to him.

Frances,
ReplyDeleteHow do you do this? Always get these just right? I starting writing something so dumb I gave up. It's very important to show our best side:)
Yvonne, you are kind. The answer to your questions is (usually) very quickly. I had just got the use of my blog back, and was feeling excited!
ReplyDeleteBut I can't write proper poetry; deep feelings, beautiful descriptions, that kind of thing. I think I'm really rather superficial :o(
Charming! I always know I'm in for a treat when I visit you, Frances!
ReplyDeleteIf he's buying my dinner he'll always be on my good side!
ReplyDeleteAfter a lovely Magpie like this, I hope you have a lovely dinner out, and a lovely evening.
ReplyDeleteYes, always feature your best side. Mine seems to be the rear of my head. :-)
ReplyDeleteHehehe! Spoilt for choice!
ReplyDeleteHaha - Nice one Frances!
ReplyDeleteanother good one Frances...nicely done
ReplyDeleteYou always know the right words, Frances. Another great verse!
ReplyDeleteLove the ambiguous ending!
ReplyDeleteOh this is a clever take on the prompt. Should she be going out at all though?
