While waiting for Matthew in bed,
Katie sometimes gets bored. So instead,
With pursed lips, like this,
(As though blowing a kiss)
She can blow her hat right off her head.
(With thanks to Tess at Magpie Tales for the picture)
Very badly, Tess. And thanks so much for the link (without your help, I'd have to abandon Magpies, and might actually do something useful on Sunday afternoons).
I live with my husband in Devizes in Wiltshire where I spend my time writing, reading, riding (I am the lucky owner of a beautiful horse, Blue), and keeping up with my four children and an increasing number of small grandchildren (eight so far). I was for many years a nurse and a Relate counsellor. I have taught creative writing both at a local college and a prison, and I review a wide variety of items - including books - for the Amazon Vine programme.I write to death row prisoners in America, being a life-long opponent jof the death penalty. And I spend too much time blogging..

Were she waiting for me.
ReplyDeleteI'd already be there like a flee,
( bed bug I meant but it doesn't scan or rhyme)
In my dreams she'd be itching.
Not kissing,
I suspect my limericks are not very good but one has to keep on being trying.
Sorry for being silly.
Adrian, you limerick was...interesting. And it made me laugh, which is really all that matters. .
DeleteHow you think these things up Frances is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteIt's not difficult, GB, but then they're hardly great literature. You should have a go. Adrian has (see above).
DeleteAdrian is much more foolhardy (sorry I meant brave) than I am and obviously more talented. Hmmm.
DeleteLucky Matthew.
ReplyDeleteWhat's keeping Matthew? Is he juggling his socks?
ReplyDeleteHe's looking for his hat, Patsy.
DeleteYou know how to whistle don't you...
